Should I just register as dba or create an LLC?

I recently went into a partnership for an online business. I have gotten the ein for the online business as well as registered the domain name(s). Right now that is one of many business online and offline that I plan to open in the future. The question I have is should I just create an LLC for our partnership as the umbrella business for the businesses I plan to open in the future? We plan to continue the partnership and have a name for that partnership. We want our businesses to fall under the name of our partnership company. I hope this is making sense.
